Eve's fika: baby shower cake

Hey! I'm Eve, a mother of three boys who loves to bake. I'm from Stockholm, Sweden, married to an American, and living in Washington DC.

Being Swedish, fika has a special place in my heart. It's an essential part of our culture - a coffee break, but so much more. A couple of times a day, everyone - family, friends, co-workers - stops whatever they're doing, sits down together, and enjoys each other's company for a few minutes over coffee and something sweet.
